Should I be worried?
Hi, I’ve never previously worried much about any of my freckles/moles/marks (I have a billion) but this one just looks off to me and is irritated. Could this just be an irritated freckle/mole or do y’all think I should have it checked?
Both of my grandpa’s have had skin cancer and both of my parents. Until I looked it up I had no clue you could have a genetic predisposition for skin cancer. I thought it was all circumstantial/Sun damage.

. We are not medical experts, but I would definitely recommend getting that checked. Freckles and moles don't generally become irritated and, if it were a hair folicle infection, I would think you would see redness or other signs of infection. Best to play it safe and let a doctor decide whether it's something you should worry about. Hopefully, it's harmless, but you'll at least know for sure if you have it evaluated.
